How is Wiztax different than all the other Tax Resolution companies I see?
We created Wiztax to make tax resolution available to everyone. For most people, there’s no need to hire expensive lawyers or Tax Resolution companies. Our online tool asks you questions and walks you through everything you need to get going. Many of the tax resolution firms use commissioned salespeople and scare tactics to get you to spend thousands of dollars on something that, with some Wiztax guidance, you can do yourself. Just remember, tax resolution is not a negotiation as tax resolution companies and firms will have you believe.
Why am I being told that Tax Resolution is a negotiation?
This is a lie. Tax relief is not a negotiation. It’s a formula driven process designed by the IRS as a “one size fits all” process. The system is designed to be fair to everyone – not just those who can afford to pay thousands of dollars hiring a tax resolution firm or lawyer. Reach out if we can answer any questions.
What if I have questions along the way?
We’re here to help! Anytime you have a question, you can call or email us. Every order comes with Premium Support so if you get stuck, just reach out. We’re here for you every step of the way.
How much do you charge?
Simple: A one-time payment of $389. That’s it. No other charges. No tricks.
We started Wiztax with the belief that Tax Resolution should not be an expensive and complicated process. Historically, the Tax Resolution industry has told you that you need to hire fancy lawyers and pay thousands of dollars. You’ve been told that all tax relief is based on negotiation with the IRS. That is not true. Tax Relief is NOT a negotiation.
It doesn’t matter if you owe $10,000 or $1,000,000 (or more). Our pricing is flat, up front and we never charge any hidden fees.
How long does this process take?
Once you sign up, we’ll start walking you through all the questions that we’ll need. For most, this process takes as little as 20 minutes. At any point, you may chose to Save your work and come back whenever you’re ready.
When you’re done, we’ll fill out the IRS forms for you and give you simple instructions on next steps (like where to sign and where to mail the IRS forms).
I haven’t filed some of my taxes - can you help?
Yes! The most important thing to remember is not to waste time. The sooner you get started, the better. Why? Because penalties and interest keep accruing as you wait. The first step – and this is critical – is to make sure all of your back taxes are filed.
When you start with Wiztax, we take you through the process of collecting all the necessary information. If you tell us you have not filed your taxes, we save your data and will reach out personally to discuss your next steps.
Please note: The Wiztax fee doesn’t cover back tax preparation or filing.
I got a Notice on Intent to Levy from the IRS. Now what?
Is it possible to settle my debt with the IRS for less than what I owe?
YES! This is called an Offer in Compromise (or OIC). The OIC program is based on a formula that takes into account factors related to your financial situation. It is not a negotiation.
When you get started , we gather this information through a series of easy to follow, step by step questions. At the end, if you qualify for an OIC, we tell you exactly what the offer amount will be and fill out the IRS forms for you! We then give you simple instructions on next steps, like where to sign and the address to use when sending in your form.
Keep in mind, regardless of whether you qualify for an OIC, we’ll always show you all your available options, including IRS Payment Plans and submitting a Hardship Status.
Do I qualify for an Offer-in-Compromise?
We can’t tell you now until we’ve gathered the necessary information. Once you sign up, we’ll walk you through all the steps (which takes as little as 20 minutes). We’ll calculate your eligibility and give you the offer amount. That’s it!
